It is widely used in international and domestic workplaces. In my country, the annual demand for safety shoes is about 96 million pairs. In 1983, my country first formulated and implemented the first national standard for safety protection shoes, GB4014-1983 “Leather Safety Shoes”. After several revisions, my country has established a series of national standards for safety shoes, protective shoes, and professional shoes. Specifically, GB21146-2007 “Personal protective equipment and professional shoes”, GB21147-2007 “Personal protective equipment and protective shoes”, GB21148-2007 “Personal protective equipment and safety shoes”, GB/T20991-2007 “Personal protective equipment and shoes test methods”, GB12011-2009 “Foot Protective Electrical Insulating Shoes”, AQ/T6108-2008 “Selection, Use and Maintenance of Safety Shoes, Protective Shoes and Professional Shoes”, etc. These standards cover the national quality test methods and specific quality standard requirements for safety shoes.
In order to ensure the product quality of safety protective shoes, in accordance with the “Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Administration of Industrial Product Production Licenses” (State Council Order No. 440) promulgated in 2005, my country has implemented a special labor protection product production license management system for safety protective shoes. It is stipulated that the production of safety protective footwear in the country must obtain an industrial product production license. As of the end of February 2011, 239 safety protection footwear manufacturers across the country have obtained the national industrial product production license.
